Cambridge Commodities Passes BRC Audit

We are pleased to announce that we have passed our annual BRC audit this month and achieved the highest grade for an announced audit.

The audit lasted for two days and we were assessed on everything we do from food safety, what our building is made from and how it is cleaned, the colour of our cleaning equipment to how we perform change control, approve products and maintain traceability.  Dr Hannah Pritchard, Quality Manager said “Our quality processes are inspected and tested in every audit we receive whether it be from a customer or regulatory body.  Our work is constantly reviewed, and we are continuously improving.”

“This is an incredibly challenging process which we encounter multiple times each year but we do it to ensure we remain certified and our customers can feel confident ordering from us” Hannah continued.

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety 7 certificate has been developed to specify the safety, quality and operational criteria required to be within a food manufacturing organisation. The certificate aims to fulfil legal compliance and customer protection. With an emphasis on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) based food safety programmes, the objective has been towards the implementation of good manufacturing practices within production areas including labelling and packing.
