Also known as linseed, flaxseed is rich in essential fatty acids. Flaxseed oil is derived from the brown seeds of the slender flax plant. Today, flaxseeds are best known for the therapeutic oil that is derived by pressing them. Flaxseeds are a good source of fibre.
