Citicoline is one of our bestselling ingredients in Europe. Citicoline, also known as cytidine diphosphate-choline (CDP-Choline) is a choline-containing phospholipid (like Alpha-GPC and phosphatidylcholine). Citicoline is broken down into choline and cytidine. Cytidine is converted into uridine, which acts as a precursor of brain synapses and membrane phospholipids.

Citicoline is approved in Europe as a novel food; it is permitted in food supplements at doses of 500 mg per day and foods for special medical purposes at 250 mg per serving (maximum daily consumption level of 1000 mg).
