Calcium ascorbate powder

Product code: P03014

Calcium Ascorbate is the calcium salt of ascorbic acid.  It can be used both as a nutrient (vitamin C) and as an additive (antioxidant).

We have two types of calcium ascorbate available: ‘P03014’ is the regular calcium ascorbate, ‘P03017’ is the DC (Directly Compressible) grade, suitable for tableting.

Calcium ascorbate might be beneficial over ascorbic acid because it is buffered by the calcium, making it less acidic. This might be beneficial for those who suffer from gastrointestinal side effects when they take other forms of vitamin C. Calcium ascorbate might be beneficial to use over the other commonly used buffered mineral ascorbate (sodium-ascorbate), because it does not contribute sodium.

Dosage:

Calcium Ascorbate contains 90% Vitamin C and 10% Calcium by mass.  Therefore, to obtain the following label claims, you would require these quantities of Calcium Ascorbate
